Market Saga (“Market Saga”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website https://www.marketsaga.net (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, on what legal basis, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you. We follow the principles of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and applicable IT Rules.
1. Who we are
Market Saga is an independent stock-market education platform publishing IPO reviews, options-trading guides, trading-psychology articles, and interactive quizzes for Indian retail investors. Market Saga does not provide personalised investment advice and is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst.
2. What information we collect
We collect personal data only when you choose to share it with us:
- Contact-form submissions: name, email address, and any message you send via our contact page.
- Newsletter / opt-in signups: email address (if and when offered).
- Quiz interactions: answers you submit, scores generated. We do not require an account to take quizzes.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and approximate location (country / region) — collected automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel) and analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. We do not collect financial-account credentials, PAN, Aadhaar, bank-account details, or trading-account credentials. Do not send such data through our forms or email.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was provided:
- To respond to your enquiries, feedback, or factual corrections.
- To send you newsletters or updates if you have explicitly opted in (you can withdraw consent at any time — see Section 9).
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site (analytics, debugging, abuse prevention).
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models on our behalf.
4. Legal basis
Under the DPDP Act, we process your data on the basis of your consent (which you give by submitting a form or opting in) and on the basis of certain legitimate uses such as responding to communications you initiate and complying with law.
5. Sharing with third parties
We use a limited number of trusted service providers (data processors) to run the Site. They process data only on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and edge delivery.
- Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights — anonymised aggregate traffic and performance metrics.
- Email service provider — delivery of replies and (if opted in) newsletters.
We will disclose data to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities only where required by valid legal process. We will never sell or rent your contact details.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers operate servers outside India. Where this is the case, transfers occur only to jurisdictions and providers that offer appropriate safeguards consistent with the DPDP Act and applicable rules.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary: session, theme preference (light / dark), and CSRF protection.
- Analytics: first-party Vercel analytics — IP-anonymised, no cross-site tracking.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Doing so may degrade some functionality (for example, your theme preference will not persist).
8. Data retention
We keep contact-form messages and email correspondence for up to 24 months from the last interaction, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs and analytics are retained for the periods specified by our service providers (typically 30–90 days for raw logs).
9. Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act and applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data;
- withdraw consent for any processing based on consent (without affecting prior lawful processing);
- nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf;
- raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 11).

10. Security
We use HTTPS sitewide, HSTS, secure hosting on Vercel, and access controls on our administrative tools. No internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure; please do not include sensitive financial credentials in any message to us.

12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or notified by email where appropriate. The “Effective date” at the top tells you when the policy was last revised.
